Commissioning Engineer – Railway Sector

DESCRIPTION OF THE MISSION

Our client, located near Brussels, is a company that manages the maintenance and technology of rail environnement. They are looking for a Commissioning Engineer.

Your missions will be to :
▪ Carry out and direct the testing and commissioning activities in accordance with company standards, contract requirements, project schedule, approved test procedures, safety, etc.
▪ Write and submit test documents and reports
▪ Regularly communicate the progress and status of testing and commissioning
▪ Manage the configuration of documentation, hardware and software in the field
▪ Troubleshoot, identify and resolve system and sub-system problems. If necessary, communicate problems to engineering and management
▪ Interact with customer, project teams

PROFIL REQUIRED

▪ Experience in testing and commissioning of large infrastructure projects
▪ Experience and knowledge of reviewing technical drawings, plans and schematics
▪ Good working knowledge of Linux or UNIX, Wireshark, switches, routers and servers, Windows Server
▪ Good knowledge of Safety Critical and Safety Related activities
▪ Have a good understanding of software programming and of software configuration management
▪ Ability to read, understand and implement scripts written in various scripting languages, such as BASH, Python or Perl
▪ Good communication skills, autonomous, team player, organized
▪ Be flexible for some shift work, nights, weekends
